of Rajasthan and being affiliated to Suresh Gyan Vihar University, one of the top three universities in the country. I hope our school will gain increasing recognition as a major center for designing a sustainable future. Let me relate to you why I believe we are on our way to that goal.
The main objective of any engineering college has been to inculcate the capacity in their students so that they are able to meet the challenges which involve the capacity to face tough examinations, garnering hands-on experience on machines and equipments, and the capability to work for long hours but, in the modern world, the field of Engineering has hit newer heights and dimensions and in this changing time of expectations and demands from corporate and service industry, different companies from different time zones and cultures are exposing and exploring themselves to our country of diverse culture. Providing of trained Engineers now goes beyond meeting the technical requirements alone.
The only solution of the above problems is to understand this unique and special blend of requirements each of the corporate clients would have, and then devise customized teaching patterns that not only fit companies’ requirements from all the dimensions, but will also suit and ensure unparalleled growth environment for the students.
When you come here, you will become part of a community of outstanding scholars who will teach and guide you in your studies. You are enormously important to the school. The school wants you to develop your full potential and it aims to do this by providing inspirational learning and teaching and exceptional facilities and services, which has been possible over last so many years, through a very solid combination of great long-term experienced teachers and energetic new young members.
The school works hard to make you feel at home wherever you come from and to support you through your time here. You will find that there is a very friendly atmosphere here and a sense of community among our students. Everything you are likely to need is on campus, with the added benefit of the bustling city a stone's throw away.
The good news is that the school is building enormous faculty strength – top people who can bring all these considerations together. Our faculty members are dedicated to excellence in teaching, individual student advising, and distinguished scholarly work. Our students learn to think critically, act globally, and work collaboratively to achieve their full potential.
This year, we welcome more than one thousand new students, from all over the 29 states and around India. We also welcome a number of faculty members, in departments ranging from Applied Sciences to Mechanical Engineering. The semester ahead promises exciting new ventures, with outstanding lectures, research, productions and exhibitions scheduled.
My appeal to all the members of faculty of School of Engineering & Technology, Gyan Vihar and one & all amongst both the prospective as well as current students is to work together in order to build a new era of civilized and technologically advanced India………………
