The important researched and manufactured products are: i) Biomaterials for tissue engineering and reengineering blood vessels, ligaments, and skin, ii) Release devices for the delivery of drugs, peptides, and proteins, iii) Microbes to clean up contaminated soil and groundwater, iv) Edible vaccines, v) Gene Therapy products, vi) Crops that thrive in a wide range of conditions & vi) DNA-based forensic technologies. |
