Quality assurance is a wide ranging concept covering all matters that individually or collectively influence the quality of a product. To pop-up with the global industrial as well as research demand, the department guides the students on areas of production, testing, and distribution of medicines. These include guidance on: good manufacturing practices, good laboratory practice quality assurance for regulatory approval including patent regime, NDA, ANDA and IND; |

prequalification of medicines, laboratories, and supply agencies; model certificates for quality assurance-related activities; quality control testing of pharmaceutical products. The department also guides about the regulatory affairs, international regulatory standards on several quality related issues, which include stability, packaging, storage, and bioequivalence.
