Professor Arunansu Haldar is an accomplished individual with an impressive academic and professional background. His professional journey started with a graduation in Metallurgical & Materials Engineering from B E College, Shibpur presently known as Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur. He did his PhD from IIT Kanpur. He spent over 32 years working with Tata Steel Ltd in Research and Development, spear heading the product development research both in India and Europe. Before joining Suresh GyanVihar University as Vice Chancellor he was Tata Steel Chair Professor at IIEST, Shibpur. His contribution to the company and Materials research earned several accolades and awards like Metallurgist of Year from Ministry of steel, GoI and Indian Institute of Metals, Eminent Engineer title from Institute of Engineers and the prestigious Indranil award from The Mining, Geological and Metallurgical Institute of India. He is also a Fellow of Institute of Engineers. As a prolific researcher of national and international repute, he has large number of granted national and international patents in his credit. He published more than 100 papers in peer reviewed international, national journals and conferences. He is highly regarded figure in the field of Metallurgy and Materials Research. His impressive achievements are a testament to his dedication and hard work and this will also inspire the students to strive for excellence in academics and research.
