Prof. (Dr.) Ritu Gilhotra is an accomplished academic leader, researcher, and institution builder, currently serving as the President (Officiating) of Suresh Gyan Vihar University. With a distinguished career spanning academia, research, and higher education administration, she brings a visionary and transformative approach to university leadership. She holds her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Pharmaceutics from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar. Her research specialization in ocular drug delivery systems for the management of glaucoma has contributed significantly to pharmaceutical sciences and translational research. Prof. Gilhotra has an exceptional research portfolio, with over 100 publications in reputed indexed and peer-reviewed journals, along with several book chapters in the domains of pharmaceutics, pharmacy education, and pharmacy practice. Her innovation-driven outlook is reflected in her intellectual contributions, including 10 patents, 2 industrial designs, and one successfully executed technology transfer. Over the years, she has held several key academic and administrative positions, demonstrating excellence in institutional governance and quality assurance. Her leadership roles have included Dean – Pharmacy, Dean – Research, Director – IQAC, Director – Global Linkages, and Director – Intellectual Property Rights Cell. In these capacities, she has played a pivotal role in strengthening academic frameworks, fostering research ecosystems, and enhancing global collaborations. She has been instrumental in steering the University’s engagement with national regulatory and accreditation bodies such as University Grants Commission (UGC), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), and National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), ensuring adherence to the highest standards of academic excellence and institutional accountability.
