Gyan Vihar School of Pharmacy was established in the year 2003 and has been a shining exemplar for quality pharmacy education and in building diligent, disciplined and competent professionals since then. Our school was approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The school offers a two year postgraduate course in Pharmaceutical Sciences M.Pharm. (Pharmaceutics) which is tailor-made to fulfil the requirements of the growing pharmaceutical industry. Over the years Gyan Vihar School of Pharmacy has made significant inroads in the sphere of pharmaceutical education and research, achieved by outstanding student participation in various activities ably supported by highly qualified and motivated faculty and a world-class infrastructure, which has been instrumental in creating our credibility. Our students are selected from a pool of worldwide applicants who meet the stringent entrance requirements of the University. Program Outcomes:Subject Proficiency

  • Specialised Medicine Knowledge: Scientific information and knowledge concerning basic principles of Pharmaceutics including drug designing, Biomaterials, Nano-technology included Biomaterial research; the focus manly included on synthesis and characterization of new biodegradable polymers, their formulations for various drug delivery systems, to improve surface biocompatibility of medical devices and their Invitro/in vivo evaluation.

  • Specialised Laboratory Knowledge: Basic understanding of synthesis & analysis of medicinal agents, drug designing, their MoA’s, drug interactions and other technical evidences related to medicines.

  • Specialised Knowledge for Practice: Students are provided training in every aspect of drug delivery and formulations which is essential for drug designing and developing through formulation development activities. In depth knowledge of Formulation Development, Pharmaceutical Dosage Forms including Herbal Medicines.

  • API and Formulations Development: Synthesis of APIs, intermediate products, development & analysis of various pharmaceutical dosage forms, quality assurance of various pharmaceutical dosage forms including those of herbal origin as per standards of official books, WHO, ICH and other regulatory agencies like USFDA, MHRA etc.

  • Scientific Data & Document Preparation: writing of scientific papers, conference presentations based on the results of the research conducted along with Production and QC Documents, Product Labels, Patient Information Leaflets, Regulatory Documents etc.

  • Public Health Patient-Centred Care: Acquiring current knowledge of Community Pharmacy & Clinical Pharmacy and use the knowledge in the best interest of the patients and serving the community along with maintaining high standards of professional ethics and participation in health care programs.

  • Entrepreneurship: Acquire the skills to run retail or wholesale business of pharmaceuticals and understanding concept for setting up a pharmaceutical unit.

  • Research and Innovation: Acquire the skills and knowledge to design drug and drug delivery system for concerned public health and safety.

  • Pharmaceutical Product Marketing: Understand the concept of synthesis & analysis of medicinal agents, their mode and mechanism of action, drug interactions, patient counselling and adequate technical information and used to be exchanged with the physician and other health professionals regarding diagnosis, prevention and therapeutic purposes for product detailing, marketing, distribution and selling of pharmaceutical products.

The Suresh Gyan Vihar University, Jaipur is a renowned University, established by an Act of State Legislature in the State of Rajasthan by the Suresh Gyan Vihar University, Jaipur Act, 2008 (Act No. 16 of 2008). The University is ranked by NIRF-2024 in the Rank-Band of 101-150 with the School of Pharmacy at 49th rank, and also university appeared in the overall rank band for the first time in the rank band 151-200. It is due to the consistent effort of ensuring quality and ethics in our delivery that the SGVU has been granted an "A+" grade accreditation by NAAC, achieving a score of 3.32 out of 4. Furthermore, the university's agriculture program and college have received accreditation from ICAR for five years.
