About Us

Pursuing a B.Tech Civil Engineering course is most beneficial for students who have a strong interest and background in science and mathematics. It emphasizes on making the students understand the structural and functional aspects of construction and development.

B.Tech in Civil Engineering is the most demanded field amongst all other branches of engineering. Construction practices started from ancient civilization extending till date and it will continue in future. Students having science and mathematics, along with an interest in construction activities will be most benefited. This course grooms and develops the structural and functional aspects of construction. Conventional and innovative measures are adopted to build sustainable and eco-friendly construction facilities. This branch of engineering offers jobs in both the private and government sectors.

Programme Outcomes

Engineering Knowledge

Application of fundamentals of mathematics (including arithmetic, algebra, geometry), physics, chemistry, and biology to study topics such as quantity, structure, space and change for solving complicated and complex engineering problems and creating a new structural marvel.

Program Analysis

Systematic investigation and analysis of construction material, structure or source, to develop a better understanding regarding the complicated constructional problems, malfunctioning and possible catastrophe, and resolving it with a creative and sustainable approach.

Design/Development of Solutions

Design is an integrated system which includes planning and identifying activities and resources, for creating a brand new facility which is usually represented by a detailed plan along with its specifications, as per the rules and regulations laid by the local governing body.

Conduct Investigation of Complex Problems

Investigation includes analysis and evaluation regarding the source of the problem, by using experimental and analytical calculations and interpretations of data and synthesis of information in a strategic research-based manner to come up with a fruitful solution resulting in solving and enhancing the lifestyle and structural standards of human race.

Modern Tool Usage

Tools and application processes of resources and materials, for modelling the complexities and needs in order to complete the complex structural engineering tasks include a concoction of both traditional and innovative knowledge and machinery.

The Engineer and the Society

Engineer is responsible for the blending of social, economic, health, safety, legal, cultural and modernization aspects, in a non-contradicting manner, for developing a better-established society. This objective can be achieved by articulating professional engineering practices along with innovative research-based analysis.

Environment and Sustainability

The understanding of environmental conditions of construction and developing solutions to resolve the problems in construction work.

Ethics

The moral principles governing the behavior and conduction of engineering activities results in sustainable and eco-friendly solutions.

Individual and Team Work

For working individually or as a part of a team, planning and evolving innovative and creative ideas into construction facilities.

Communications

Civil engineer communicates through drafting plan with all its specifications and details, which gives every minute detail about the construction work. Other forms of communication design documentation, effective design reports, scheduling reports, presentation and transfer of clear and distinct instructions.

Project Management and Finance

Capital budgeting and risk management plays a vital role in project management. Planning, scheduling and execution in a proper strategic manner help in controlling the financial element in construction.

Life Long Process

Evolution being an essential part of human existence, technology and developments walk hand-in-hand towards never-ending learning process.

Competitive Skills

Improvements are made in design which competes in national and international level to refine the complexities of design and encourage the competitive spirit.

Programme Specific Outcomes

  • Train the students to undertake tenders or contracts from government bodies or private companies.
  • Construction of energy saving and self-sustaining buildings.
  • Optimizing structures to reduce the effective cost of construction and increase its durability.
  • Ability to design architectural and structural marvel structures.
  • To train students to design and develop infrastructure projects, both independently and in collaboration with other entities.
  • To help students achieve specialization in their fields of research through higher studies and promote research activities.
  • Students can pursue teaching as their profession and promote the further development in the research field.
  • To help students to adjust in Multi-disciplinary and Multi-cultural groups, along with the thirst for development in infrastructural projects.
