Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Transportation Engineering (Civil Engineering) is a well-recognized two-year academic program. Gyan Vihar School of Engineering & Technology (GVSET) offers students who wish to safeguard and enhance the environment a chance to pursue an M.Tech in Transportation Engineering. Transportation engineering is the branch of technology & science which deals with the principles of planning, functional design, operation, and management of facilities for any mode of transportation in order to ensure the safe, efficient, rapid, comfortable, convenient, economical, and environmentally friendly transportation of people and goods.

M.Tech. in Transportation Engineering in India is a sub-discipline of civil engineering. The planning aspects encompass elements of urban planning and technological forecasting. The designing factors include sizing of transport facilities, designing, the geometry of roadways etc. Some of the area in which students will expert from this program are Research Methodology, Transportation Economics and Evaluation, Highway Materials and Construction, Urban Transport Planning, Bridge and Tunnel Engineering, CAD, Traffic Engineering & Road Safety, Pavement Analysis & Design.

Foundation & Core Courses:

• Foundation Courses: Establishes a foundation for comprehending and learning basic courses.
• Core Courses: Puts in place a foundation for the student to imbibe the knowledge acquisition of basics of learning major area/program/discipline.
• Open Minor: There are many elective courses outside the main discipline to enable students to develop an additional skill set. These courses are extremely helpful in motivating students and keeping on their interest. (for example Animation, Photography, Aeromodelling, Climate Change etc..)
• Industry Interface: Industrial Tie - ups – Here professionals from various industries develop course content, do Industrial Collaboration Projects in which students invest heavily in hands–on situations of real– life through industrial internships.
• Study Abroad: A chance to study in foreign universities – Take advantage of numerous MoUs of SGVU with Foreign Universities for tie – ups in Semester/Year abroad/Summer School-Foreign Degree.
