As Suresh Gyan Vihar University marks 25 years of academic excellence, we proudly celebrate the inspiring journey of our distinguished alumna, Rashmi Rao, who completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Information Technology and Computer Software Engineering from SGVU.
Rashmi’s career began humbly as a Presales Executive in a small IT firm in New Delhi. With determination and an unwavering commitment to learning, she went on to work with global powerhouses such as IBM and Ernst & Young (EY), where she held key roles in Bid and Proposal Management.
At IBM, Rashmi served as a Bid Manager, where she led multi-million dollar proposals in IT services, telecom, and cloud solutions. She managed end-to-end bid processes—collaborating with cross-functional teams, engaging with OEM partners, and delivering high-impact, client-focused proposals. This experience honed her leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills in a fast-paced global environment.
Her next professional chapter at EY as a Supervising Associate offered rich international exposure. Working closely with UK-based teams, she gained deep insights into global business operations, client engagement, and cross-cultural collaboration.
Rashmi attributes much of her growth and success to the strong academic foundation laid at SGVU and is deeply thankful to her mentors, teachers, and family for their unwavering support.
