From Jaipur to the Global Energy Sector — The Journey of Vaibhav Chauhan
Mechanical Engineering | SGVU Alumni Spotlight
His story is one of clarity, grit, and global impact. A 2023 Mechanical Engineering graduate from Suresh Gyan Vihar University, Vaibhav always had a fascination with how machines move the world. But more than that, he wanted to be part of the movement—literally and figuratively.
Today, he is an Engineer at National Oilwell Varco (NOV), a global leader in cutting-edge oil and gas technologies. His work contributes to mission-critical drilling systems used across continents.
From day one at SGVU, Vaibhav focused on the practical application of mechanical principles. Through hands-on university projects, internships, and rigorous interview preparation, he built not just knowledge—but professional readiness.
His sharp understanding of machinery, paired with a natural flair for problem-solving, earned him the NOV role soon after graduation. Within a short span, Vaibhav was recognized for:
- Optimizing design processes for drilling equipment
- Contributing to cost-effective, high-performance solutions
- Driving innovation in global energy operations
“SGVU gave me the platform, mentorship, and mindset to think beyond textbooks. The university’s focus on practical engineering was a game changer for me.” – Vaibhav Chauhan
Even as he navigates a demanding global role, Vaibhav stays connected to SGVU—mentoring juniors, sharing industry insights, and helping students understand what the future of mechanical engineering demands.
